
Malnicherra Tea Garden, located in the Sylhet district of Bangladesh, is the largest and first established tea garden in the subcontinent. It is the oldest tea garden on the subcontinent. The garden was initially established by Lord Hudson in 1849 on an area of 1500 acres when the Bengali and Asian people were accustomed to tea. Tea production in the subcontinent originated from the Malnicherra Tea garden. Malnicherra was operated by many British, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi merchants. Later on, it has been privately owned since 1988. Malnicherra is so majestic and captivating and natural. Harry K.
