
Keokradong is the fifth-highest mountain in Bangladesh and is located in the ruma upazilla of Bandarban district. The name Keokradong is derived from the indigenous Marmads of the area. In the Marma language, Keokradong means "highest rocky mountain". Keokradang's peak appears to be nothing from afar. But it is now the fifth highest peak in modern measurements. Keokradong offers breathtaking panoramic views of surrounding hills, forests, and valleys. The trek to the summit allows visitors to witness stunning landscapes and lush greenery along the way.

How to go:
You must come to Bandarban first in order to visit Keokradong. From different parts of Dhaka buses are available for Bandarban. It takes 8-10 hours to go to Bandarban from Dhaka by bus.
You can also go by train: Sonar Bangla, Suvarna Express, Turna Nishita, Mahanagar Godhuli to go to Chittagong. Besides, you can directly come to Chittagong from Dhaka by air.
From Baddarhat in Chittagong, buses set out for Bandarban. You can come to Bandarban by bus from Dhampara bus stand in Chittagong.
From Bandarban to Keokradong:
For reaching Keokradong, you have to go to Ruma Bazaar first. Then from Ruma Bazar you’ve to cross the Baga lake to go to Keokradong. Reaching Keokradong from Bandarban in one day isn’t an easy task. Usually, on the first day, tourists spend one night in Baga lake and travel to Keokradong the next morning. Visiting and staying at Bagalek will make your Keokradong trip more thrilling.
The distance from Bandarban to Ruma Bazar is 48 km. Ruma Bazaar can be reached by local bus or Chander Gari. If you want to go by bus you have to go to Ruma bus stand and it onaly takes about 3 hours. If you go in a group, you can go to Ruma Bazar by chander gari. You have to rent a car from jeep station in Bandarban city. It will take about 2 hours by jeep.
After reaching Ruma Bazaar, you need to fix the guide first to go to Keokradong. Taking a guide is mandatory. You have to hire a registered guide from guide association and you must bear the guide's meals’ expenses. Before departure, permission must be taken to visit Keokradong from Ruma Bazar Army Camp. The identity of all traveling members must be submitted. The guide will help you to do these tasks. It is not allowed to go from Rumabazar to Baga lake after 4 pm. There are some tribal shops on the way to Bagalek and Keokradong, but you may not get what you need there. So before starting the journey you have to take all necessities from Ruma bazar.
You can reach the peak of Keokradong by trekking for 3-4 hours. You have to walk all the way from Baga lake to Keokradong. There are several difficult hills to navigate.
