Pachgaon, Kalmakanda, Netrokona.

Netrokona is a hidden gem renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and vibrant cultural heritage. Famous for its kaolin (China clay) hills, serene rivers, tranquil canals, and vast haors, the district is a perfect vacation destination.

It has a beautiful village named Pachgaon which is surrounded by hills. “Chandradinga” hill is one of them. It is also known as Panchgaon Tila or Kalmakandar Hill to the locals here. According to the locals the name Chandradinga was inherited from a merchant name “Chaand”. However, Chaand’s boat sank here. The boat was moon shaped and so this place was named “Chandradinga”.

Visitors are fascinated by the beauty of this hill. Besides, there are small streams, waterfalls and vast green fields. While entering the village, one can notice a giant banyan tree. After climbing Pachgaon Tila, small-large waterfalls can be seen. There’s another hill which is called Lengura, serves fascinating sites of the Garo Hills.

What to Keep in Mind:

Carrying dry food is recommendable while traveling this place because food shops are limited. There are some local hotels, where one can have meals.
