Komola Ranir Dighi, Birishiri, Netrokona.

The legendary Komola Ranir Dighi was also known as Sagor Dighi. It is 3 kilometers from Durgapur and near Birishiri Union. King Janki Nath of Susang Durgapur is said to have married a beautiful woman named Komola Devi in the late fifteenth century. They had a son named Raghunath. During that time, he created a pond to ease water scarcity. The king became concerned when the pond's water level did not rise.

One night, it appeared in king’s dream that if he went to the middle of the pond and worshipped there, the pond would fill. After the ceremony, water rose from all around and drowned the queen.

Some also say God appeared in the king’s dream and told Queen could feed her son only on one condition that the king cannot touch her. But the king couldn’t fulfill this, and so queen died.

Currently, Someshwari river flows through this pond. However, the southern and western banks of the pond still surviving.
