Bahadur Shah Park, once known as Victoria Park is a historical and traditional park located at Laxmibazar in the Sadarghat area of ​​Old Dhaka. Bahadur Shah Park has witnessed many historical events of almost two centuries. The park commemorates the revolutionaries of the Sipahi Revolt in 1857.

This oval park is surrounded by seven roads, therefore, is one of the most important areas of old Dhaka for being surrounded several by prestigious educational institutions and government buildings. The park has two main entrances, each on the east on west sides.  Inside the park, a paved road is built around the balustrades. 

Bahadur Shah Park also has a monument in memory of Nawabzada Khwaja Hafizullah, a man who was loved and appreciated by the general public.  The granite monument was brought from Kolkata and has inscriptions engraved on both sides of its bases.  The park also has a war memorial, a four-cornered structure on an altar surrounded by four pillars.  The park likewise has an octagonal fountain which is in the middle of a star-shaped fountain that is as splendid and striking.   

The park is filled sufficiently with tall trees which indeed makes the place a cooling landscape. The sculptures in the park are one of a kind, as a result, preserving the heritage. There is Dhaka's only Obelisk which honors the death of Dhaka Nawab's son. Yet another magnificent sculpture at the western part was built in the honor of the martyrs. The. Bahadur Shah Park is open 6 days a week. You can enter anytime from 5 am to 10.30 pm. There is no need to buy a ticket to enter.
