Tetulia Tea Garden, Tetulia, Panchagarh.

The Northernmost part of Bangladesh, Tetulia, surprisingly is famous for it’s tea garden. Here, over an area of 2,255.54 acres (about 912 hectares) of land is occupied for growing and cultivating tea.  Almost 200 tea gardens both large estates and small-scale farms, situated in Tetulia and surrounding areas. Among these, the Kazi & Kazi Tea Estate (KKTE) stands out as a significant contributor to the region's tea industry. 

This place has been cultivating tea from the earnest 2000. The first tea sapling was planted in April 2000 by Mosharraf Hossain, a retired tea industry professional, marking the inception of commercial tea farming in the area. The first tea planting occurred on August 6, 2000, and the estate is renowned for being the first USDA-certified organic tea garden in Bangladesh. This area contributes about 12% of the national tea production.  

How to Go:

After reaching Panchagarh you have to take another bus to go Tetulia. From tetulia, you can take a scooter to roam around the city.
