Funcity Amusement Park or Shishu Park is the most well-known picnic spot of Thakurgaon. It has abundance of natural beauty. It is situated in Pirganj (the heart of Thakurgaon district), before the Municipal Office.
At the entrance gate, there is a small ticket booth where visitors must pay the entry fee. The park occupies a 10-acre area. Upon entering the park, one sees trees that are beautifully decorated. Multiple sculptures can be seen throughout the area. Moreover, the walls are quite intriguing, as nearly all of them feature depictions of renowned Bengali legends. The children can enjoy a variety of fun rides, such as a toy train, merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, and more. People of all ages are drawn to the fountain. A pond is encircled by a neatly organized row of greenery. This perspective of the location is rather captivating and tranquil. Particularly when on paddlewheel boats. Additionally, there is a confectionery shop where you can treat yourself to a refreshing snack.

Charges:
In Funcity Children’s Park, the entry fee is 20 taka per individual, while the cost for each ride is 10 taka. The entrance fee is 500 taka for the minibus arriving for the picnic and 300 taka for the microbus.
Best Time to Visit:
Winter (November to February): This is the best time to visit, as the temperatures are comfortable for outdoor activities, making it ideal for sightseeing, boat rides, and picnics.
Monsoon (June to September): While the park looks lush and green, heavy rains may disrupt outdoor activities and cause some areas to be inaccessible. If you enjoy rain-drenched landscapes and don’t mind occasional showers, this season could be special for nature lovers.

It’s easier to reach this park by CNG or bus from Ranisankail busstand.
